Thanks to a partnership between the MFA and the City of Boston, Boston Family Days provide students who live in Boston and their families free access to the Museum on the first and second Sundays of each month. Learn more about how to participate, including how to register for the program.
The MFA offers a variety of special gallery activities and tours on Boston Family Days. Check each event below for the full schedule, and stay tuned for new interactive programming this spring. We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum!
“Dear Vincent” Letter Writing Contest
In honor of the exhibition of Vincent van Gogh’s series of portraits of the Roulin family, the MFA and Savvas Learning Company invite Boston students to participate in a letter writing contest. Students may submit a letter for the contest before May 25, 2025.
Between July 6 and September 7, families attending Boston Family Days may reserve free day-of tickets to “Van Gogh: The Roulin Family Portraits.” Tickets must be reserved in person at the ticket desk. Early arrival is recommended and offer is subject to availability.
Free admission to “Van Gogh: The Roulin Family Portraits” for Boston Family Days registered families is sponsored by Savvas Learning Company.
