Ticket On-Sale Dates

Tickets for “Van Gogh: The Roulin Family Portraits” (March 30–September 7, 2025; member preview March 26–29) go on sale to members February 5 at 10 am, and to nonmembers February 11 at 10 am. General Admission tickets for March and later go on sale February 11 at 10 am.

Ticket Information

  • Last entry 30 minutes before Museum closing.
  • Tickets are available for purchase in person (pending exhibition ticket availability) or in advance on mfa.org or by phone at 1-800-440-6975. $6 per-order processing fee applies to all phone orders.
  • General admission tickets are valid for the Museum’s entire operating hours on the given visit day.
    • General admission tickets do not include access to “Van Gogh: The Roulin Family Portraits” (opens March 30).
  • Access to “Van Gogh: The Roulin Family Portraits” (opens March 30) requires a specific exhibition ticket with a timed-entry time slot for the gallery.
    • Entry time slots are 30 minutes; visitors must enter the exhibition within that 30-minute window.
    • Once inside the exhibition, visitors may stay as long as they like.
    • No re-entry into a special exhibition.
    • If you’re unable to secure tickets in your cart for your entire party within one time slot, please choose a different time that can accommodate your entire group.
    • Make sure to add any free youth tickets to your order at the same time as you add adult tickets.

Member Tickets

Members are required to reserve a timed-entry ticket for special exhibitions and are encouraged to reserve exhibition tickets in advance as time slots may sell out. See Membership FAQ for detailed information.
