For rising sophomores and juniors in Becoming a Man and The BASE
The Curatorial Study Hall internship is a specialized project-based internship where students get to explore and delve deeper into exhibition creation, interpretation, and design. This program provides an excellent opportunity to develop career experience and a closer connection to art, meet great people, and explore the Museum and its collection.
- Learn about marginalized artists in the MFA’s collection through workshops in close looking, research methods, proposal developments, interpretation, design, promotion, and installation
- No art or museum background is necessary
- Must be a current participant in youth organizations Becoming a Man or The BASE
Pilot Program and Materials
Curatorial Study Hall was first piloted in 2019 and resulted in the students curating the 2020 exhibition “Black Histories, Black Futures.”
