Amanda Coogan: The Passing

Irish performance artist Amanda Coogan presents her 24-hour long performance, The Passing, 2011. The ordinary act of moving up and down stairs becomes extraordinary through duration. Coogan’s red dress was made especially for the occasion to symbolize the boldness of her actions and the strength of the human spirit.

This event took place September 17-18, 2011 during the Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art Open House.
