The MFA has been central to Nubian discoveries starting back in the early 20th century. As today’s scholars dig deep into this ancient civilization, they are rethinking what we thought we knew and learning things we never did before. And it is the MFA which finds itself again at this heart of rediscovery through the study of our collection. Join the Curator of Ancient Egyptian, Nubian, and Near Eastern Art, Denise Doxey and the Norma Jean Calderwood Senior Curator of Ancient Egyptian, Nubian, and Near Eastern Art, Lawrence Berman as they take an honest look at the role the MFA has played then and now as we learn more about Nubia.

Ticket required for adults: members free, bring friends for $25. Interested in learning more? Members get discounts on all “Looking Together” sessions.
