MFA Boston Celebrates Return of Spring with Annual Art in Bloom Celebration of Art and Flowers

2023 Lineup Includes 45 Art-Inspired Arrangements, Guided Tours, and Special Guest Speaker Jimmy Guzman

BOSTON (March 3, 2023)—The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), celebrates the return of spring with its 47th-annual Art in Bloom celebration from Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30. For more than four decades, the beloved event has paired art from the MFA’s collection—from ancient to contemporary—with floral interpretations created by New England-area garden clubs and professional designers. In addition to 45 original arrangements, highlights of this year’s celebration include a series of special events with master floral designer and founder of JNG Event Consulting Jimmy Guzman, who will lead two master classes as well as a lecture and demonstration.

Art in Bloom launches at the Museum with a special preview of freshly installed arrangements on Thursday, April 27. Private group tours also begin on Thursday afternoon, and advance registration is required. Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy free guided tours of arrangements throughout the galleries (included with Museum admission) and stop by the Garden Cart for unique gifts and treasures and take-home flower arrangements. Visitors are encouraged to share their best floral photos on social media with #mfaInBloom.

Tickets and reservations for private group tours are available on mfa.org beginning March 7; tickets for guest speaker programs are available beginning April 4. Art in Bloom is presented by the MFA Associates, a group of dedicated volunteers who create the Museum’s flower arrangements throughout the year.

Art in Bloom is sponsored by the Arbella Insurance Foundation. Additional support from Island Creek Oysters and Yellow Wood Partners.
