Celebrating Japanese Arts and Culture
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, is proud to partner with UNIQLO, the global apparel brand, to further the shared mission of making art accessible to all. Since 2018 UNIQLO has supported programs and events that bring the joy of art to the Greater Boston community, including sponsorship of acclaimed exhibitions like “Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence” and, in celebration of the newly transformed and reopened Arts of Japan galleries, a Free Admission Day, a family friendly gallery guide, and a multimedia tour on MFA Mobile. UNIQLO also supports a variety of programs highlighting Japanese art and culture at the MFA, including the annual UNIQLO Festival of Films from Japan and a range of free art-making activities. Through UNIQLO’s continued partnership and support, the MFA has been able to make art accessible to new audiences and instill a love of art in our communities through shared experiences, open discussion forums, and a diverse range of artistic expression, from music and talks to film and dance.
Our partnership also includes UNIQLO’s UT Graphic Tees, inspired by ukiyo-e prints from the MFA’s exceptional collection of Japanese art. Our collaboration enhances the integration of art, culture, and fashion, globally reinforcing UNIQLO’s “made for all” tradition.
