Edmund de Waal, CBE, is an acclaimed artist and nonfiction writer best known for his large-scale art installations of porcelain vessels. These projects are often site-specific, created in dialogue with the history of their locations. De Waal’s work has been shown worldwide, including London, Paris, Vienna, Venice, Los Angeles, and New York. In 2015, he was awarded the Windham-Campbell Prize for nonfiction by Yale University. In this talk, de Waal discusses his artistic process and the poetry of sculpture.
