Learn how to see and depict shape, value, and texture, to improve your observational drawing skills. Develop well-measured compositions through studies and warm-up activities using a still life.

Ticket Information

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

All ticket sales are final. Tickets may not be refunded, are nontransferable, nor may they be resold.

Accessibility

Due to the building’s historic architecture, the third-floor classrooms, 305A, 305B, 305D and 305E, are not wheelchair-accessible and must be accessed by stairs. Please let us know in advance if the student has limited mobility; we can make accommodations, including relocating the class to an accessible space.

About the Instructor

A 2D artist and Illustrator, Michelle Stevens holds a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Sustainability from MassArt with Honors and a Faculty Choice Award. She was an Artist-in-Residence in early 2024 at the Cannery Arts Centre in Esperance / Kepa Kurl, Western Australia. Michelle has completed projects for Re:SET Music Festival, Boston Calling Music Festival, Boston Art Review Magazine, Trillilum Brewing Company, musician San Holo with his record label Bitbird, and the Canadian National Railway. Her work has been exhibited at Fitchburg Art Museum, Clark University, and Abigail Ogilvy Gallery, among others. She received the 2019 Roddy Drawing Prize at ConcordArt, and has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators NYC.
