Join us for an online discussion of the exhibition “Life Magazine and the Power of Photography,” which offers a revealing look at the collaborative processes behind many of the most recognizable, beloved, and controversial images of the 20th century. Hear from cocurators Katherine A. Bussard, Kristen Gresh, and Alissa Schapiro on how they drew from unprecedented access to Life magazine’s picture and paper archives, as well as photographers’ archives, to bring together more than 180 objects, including vintage photographs, contact sheets, assignment outlines, internal memos, and layout experiments.
