Etching, engraving, aquatint, and drypoint are among the types of prints on view in the galleries, but what do these terms mean? Take a closer look at intaglio prints by artists old and new, and explore how the various techniques and processes result in prints with a distinct look and feel. Among the featured objects is Rembrandt’s The Raising of Lazarus (1642), along with the copper plate used to create it.

With Fenna Engelke, Claire W. and Richard P. Morse Fellow for Advanced Training in Conservation of Works of Art on Paper.
