Letter from Sargent to Clark, February 22, 1924

[On Copley Plaza stationery]
Feb 22nd [1924]

Dear Mr Clark

I will write to Dr Deaver— Please choke off any future applicants for oil paughtraits and say if necessary that I am a physical and nervous wreck and not allowed to read letters.

Thank you for letting in the Elliots – I had a wire from them in praise of your kindness and of the show – Good luck to it.

Yours Sincerely

John S. Sargent
