The Importance of North Light

A state-of-the-art Conservation Center is coming to the MFA. The space spans 22,000 square feet and features six interdisciplinary laboratories, a learning center, and advanced technology. In fall 2019, five skylights were installed on top of the roof—allowing the MFA conservation team to work under ideal natural light when the center opens. Hear from conservators Rhona MacBeth and Pamela Hatchfield on the importance of working under north light and watch as the skylights are installed.
