MFA Art Finders offers high-quality resources featuring digital reproductions of works of art from the Museum’s collections. These resources are designed for K–12 educators to integrate into their classroom teaching.
Featuring artwork from the MFA’s vast collections, these slide decks can also provide opportunities to highlight artists, art forms, and perspectives beyond those included in your existing curriculum materials or seen in a single field trip. An extensive library of slide decks has been created by a team of experienced volunteer tour guides from the MFA, working in partnership with MFA staff as well as K–12 educators, who served as consultants. Art Finders resources are designed to support teaching expanded and intentionally inclusive narratives.
Classroom educators across disciplines and grade levels use Art Finders resources in myriad ways, including:
- to generate discussion, analysis, and interpretation
- to prompt student writing and creative responses
- to invite new insight into complex historical events, abstract concepts, and artistic techniques
- to spark questions and offer entry points for more research
Contact teacherresources@mfa.org to tell us more about your experience with MFA Art Finders—we would love to hear about how you engage students with the MFA’s collection!
