Theme: Lots of Lines
As staff preparations ramp up over the summer, we will host a range of outdoor events on the MFA’s campus starting in September, including concerts and films in partnership with the Roxbury International Film Festival.
Please consider supporting the Museum, its art, and its programs with a gift to the MFA Fund.
New Sensory Friendly tours! Join us at the 10:15 am tour on Mondays for a welcoming, inclusive Playdates experience. Tours will return to a quieter, low-lit gallery for art activities. Please see below for a preview of Playdates at the MFA.
Bring your toddler to enjoy story time and looking activities in the galleries, followed by art making. Each month focuses on a specific theme. Recommended for children age 4 and younger with adults.
This program is included with Museum admission, but a separate tour ticket is required. Check in at the Playdates Ticket Desk in the Sharf Visitor Center when you arrive then head over to the Shapiro Family Courtyard to draw, color, and read! Tours leave on a rolling basis starting at 10:15 am. The last tour leaves at 11 am.
All galleries are stroller accessible. If desired, a nursing room is available off of the Hemicycle Gallery. Baby changing areas are located in restrooms throughout the Museum. Stay after the program to explore the Museum and enjoy kid-friendly food from a great selection of dining options.
Bilingual (Spanish) Playdates will return in October 2019! Join us on the first Monday of the month as we welcome the educators of Pine Village Preschool, voted The Best Language Immersion School by the Boston Parents Paper for the second year in a row, for an immersive experience for your child in espanol! For more information, visit Pine Village Preschool.
Occurs on the first Monday and third Saturday of the month. See below for date and theme details.
