Between 1200–1150 BCE, civilizations around the Mediterranean experienced invasions, natural disasters, famine, and plagues—which eventually led to their collapse. Without an overarching global account provided by ancient sources, scholars have long debated explanations for the severe disruptions documented in archaeological sites. Join us to hear recognized specialist Eric Cline offer theories regarding this timely debate and learn about the MFA’s Bronze Age collection.
