Working in acrylics, gain hands-on experience through analysis of major theories and properties of color.  Explore how colors affect one another visually and increase your sensitivity to color by reviewing primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Learn how to use color and value systems to enhance the composition and portray realism or abstraction in your paintings.

Please bring a nut-free lunch, snacks, utensils, water bottle, extra masks and picnic blanket.

About the Instructor

Karl Stephan holds a Masters in Art Education from the Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Expert in traditional and contemporary techniques of drawing and other two-dimensional media, Karl is a Medici Artist at Tufts and a well-regarded curator. In addition to his popular museum drawing classes for teens, Karl teaches privately in his Cambridge studio.
