Explore the expressive possibilities of color theory - and color practice - through classroom demonstrations and technical guidance in drawing, painting, mixed media, and collage. Gain a deeper understanding of traditional, contemporary, and experimental uses of color while developing your personal visual language with weekly inspiration from the MFA’s collection.
Class will break for a short lunch.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

About the Instructor
Karl Stephan holds a Masters in Art Education from the Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Expert in traditional and contemporary techniques of drawing and other two-dimensional media, Karl is a Medici Artist at Tufts and a well-regarded curator. In addition to his popular museum drawing classes for teens, Karl teaches privately in his Cambridge studio.
