This special evening begins with a visit to Level 3 of the Art of the Americas Wing to tour “Women Take the Floor.” View a variety of work that looks at how entrepreneurial women artists had a major impact on the revitalization of the American Print Boom. Examine women artists and their influence on the course of contemporary printmaking from the late ’50s to the present. On our way to the studio, stop at Taste Café to pick up wine, coffee, or something cold to take with you to the art space next door.

In the second hour, observe a mono-printmaking demonstration and experiment with mark making and explore positive and negative space with stencils. Bring a friend or make a few as you discover some of the excitement of printmaking.

Supplies provided.
