About the Instructor

Cameron McCool’s work allows his emotions to breathe, serving as both catharsis and a reverence of the human form. There is a dialogue between the mark-making and the subject being revealed, taking on different techniques depending on the tools required to grasp at the heart of his figures; finding beauty in the yearning and execution. Cameron is originally from Anacortes, Washington, and moved to New York in 2010 to pursue his studies in art. He graduated with a masters in painting from the New York Academy of Art and currently lives and works in Cambridge, MA.
