Increase your storytelling skills, design your own comic book and create fun characters and creatures! Learn the processes involved in character design and master new tools and techniques in drawing, lettering, and page design as you develop a narrative. Be inspired by various cultures and time periods from the MFA Collection and examine visual techniques from your favorite comics and graphic novels.

Supplies are provided.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

About the Instructor

Nell Valle is a freelance illustrator from Boston, MA who graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in illustration and minor in creative writing. She has experience in comic illustration, public art, art gallery installation, and art instruction.
