Learn how to document, detail, and communicate subject matter related to the natural world! Skills such as hand-eye coordination and empathy for natural systems and organisms will be explored through various media such as colored pencil, graphite, ink, and gouache. Students will have the opportunity to discover their own style as it relates to portraying birds, animals, botanicals, and other natural specimens. Inspiration from scientific techniques such as microscopy and x-ray photography will also be explored as ways to gather visual data and compositional elements.
