Pursue your individual interests and explore your visual language with a variety of 2D techniques and approaches in this online class. Be inspired by artworks from the MFA collection, through live demonstrations, hands-on art-making activities, and group critiques. Get an introduction to the three principles of drawing and gradually incorporate other media including water-based painting, pen and ink, collage, stencil, and mixed media.
Students are responsible for providing their own materials. View the supply list.

About the Instructor
Karl Stephan holds a Masters in Art Education from the Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Expert in traditional and contemporary techniques of drawing and other two-dimensional media, Karl is a Medici Artist at Tufts and a well-regarded curator. In addition to his popular museum drawing classes for teens, Karl teaches privately in his Cambridge studio.
