Observe and discuss art from the MFA’s Collection to gain inspiration for your own unique and imaginative projects. In the studio, experiment with hands-on techniques using a variety of materials such as drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and 3D explorations!

Supplies are provided.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

Due to the building’s historic architecture, the third-floor classrooms, 305A, 305B, 305D and 305E, are not wheelchair-accessible and must be accessed by stairs. Please let us know in advance if the student has limited mobility; we can make accommodations, including relocating the class to an accessible space.

About the Instructor

Isabel Cole is an educator and artist living in Salem, MA. She received her BA from Boston College where she studied studio art and educational psychology. With a focus on painting and drawing, Isabel creates comical scenes that reflect everyday life. Her previous work experience at the McMullen Art Museum at Boston College and deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum have exposed her to the important role museums play as cultural sites for the communities they serve. Isabel currently works at the Museum of Fine Arts as a Studio Art Instructor and the Community Arts Liaison with the Yawkey Boys and Girls Club of Roxbury and the Berkshire Partners Boys and Girls Club.
