Visit the galleries each week to observe and discuss art, and to make drawings. Using inspiration from your gallery visit, work on projects in the studio, including painting, collage, printmaking, clay sculpture, and other 3-D explorations.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

Accessibility

Due to the building’s historic architecture, the third-floor classrooms, 305A, 305B, 305D and 305E, are not wheelchair-accessible and must be accessed by stairs. Please let us know in advance if the student has limited mobility; we can make accommodations, including relocating the class to an accessible space.

About the Instructor

Allison Shilling received a Masters of Arts in Teaching Art Education from Tufts University and her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Environmental Studies and Studio Art. She has a background in museum and art education through her internship and volunteer work at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Allison brings knowledge in business management from studies at Columbia Business School—Business Edge Program and internships at Artisan House, Inc.
