Learn to take an idea or story and bring it to life with simple techniques to create fun stop-motion animations! Explore the many methods that art can move, from Calder's magical circus to puppet making and even kinetic sculptures. Study how painters like Arthur Dove and Stuart Davis were inspired by music to create energetic compositions and explore the Museum's collection of automata curiosities!

About the Instructor
Brian Reddy is an artist and educator working as the drawing, painting, and digital art teacher at Wellesley High School and has been teaching studio art classes at the MFA since 2017. He is an alumnus of Massachusetts College of Art and Design (BFA Illustration ’07 and Teacher Preparation Program ’09) and Framingham State (Masters in Art Education ’17).
