Learn to capture your ideas and develop your own style in a sketchbook. Experiment with a variety of media to explore mark making, patterns and textures. Document your observations, take risks for developing concepts and research personal interests that will help inform a body of work. 

Please bring a nut-free lunch, snacks, utensils, water bottle, extra masks and picnic blanket.

About the Instructor

Abel Ellery is a Connecticut native currently living and student-teaching in the Boston area. They received their BA in Art Therapy and Counseling from Lesley University and are currently pursuing their Master of Art in Teaching from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts. Abel has experience working with children of various ages and loves working with modalities such as drawing, painting, collage, as well as found and digital art.
