In this online class view different painting styles and techniques. Work from still life objects or independently realize your ideas with a series of paintings on canvas, paper, or panel. Learn fundamental skills, color relationships, and develop a personal style with acrylic paint.
Students are responsible for providing their own materials. View the supply list.

Online Studio Art Classes can only be purchased through mfa.org. Unfortunately we cannot process phone orders or in-person sales.

About the Instructor
Paula Pitman Brown has taught teens and adults painting, drawing, and sculpture for 36 years at schools and institutions such as Chelmsford High School, Waltham Public Schools, deCordova Art Museum School, and the Multicultural Art Camp. Brown graduated with distinction from Massachusetts College of Art, with a BFA in Painting and Art History, and also received the Massachusetts Teacher Certification for grades K–12 from Suffolk University and Boston State College. She is consistently creating her artwork of storytelling allegories that are inspired from personal ideas and art history. She has shown her work mostly around the New England area.
