Nancy Hart is a painter who incorporates the expanded field of drawing and installation in her studio work. She has an MFA from the Art Institute of Boston / Lesley University of Art and Design and a BFA in painting from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She has also studied at Radcliffe Seminars, the DeCordova Museum, Zee Mays Printing, Harvard Extension School, and Massachusetts College of Art. In the fall of 2018, Hart was an artist in residence at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum re/enacting Lee Ming Wei’s “Mending Project.” Hart is a member of Gallery 263 in Cambridge, an ambassador for Lesley University, a portfolio reviewer for the College Art Association, as well as an academic advisor at SUNY New Paltz, NY. Hart teaches art courses at Maud Morgan Visual Art and Beaver Country Day School, and ESL at Brookline Adult Education.
