“Marking Resilience: Indigenous North American Prints” features contemporary works on paper by a number of women, including Dyani White Hawk, a Sičáŋǧu Lakota artist and curator. Inspired by Plains-style dentalium dresses, White Hawk partnered with Highpoint Editions in Minneapolis to create a four-print suite entitled “Takes Care of Them” (2019). Learn more about the materials, working process, and context in which these large-format screenprints were created.

With Katrina Newbury, Saundra B. Lane Conservator, Virginia Herrick Deknatel Paper Conservation Laboratory.

Free with general admission. No advance registration or tickets required. Talks meet at Sharf Visitor Center.
