Come see the MFA in a new light, with a one-of-a kind experience of a morning yoga practice in the soaring glass Shapiro Family Courtyard, before the Museum opens for the day. Yogis are encouraged to bring their mats, build friendships, and feel the energy of the art that surrounds you. After class, explore the galleries, visit that exhibition you’ve been meaning to catch, or grab a post-workout cup of coffee in the New American Café. Our instructor for June is Heather Wrona.
Though Heather has only been teaching yoga for a few years, she has been actively practicing yoga for 20 years. In her practice, she believes that there is a place for every one and every body. Yoga is a place for the mind and body, and helping students reach their best practice for their own body is what Heather tries to achieve in every class. Heather has taught everything from an afterschool mindfulness program to young children, to gentle classes for the elderly, to intense, fast paces vinyasa practices. “Making sure my students feel safe and confident in their own bodies is what I strive for in each class, and to have fun, lots of fun!”
Doors open at 8:30am. All attendees must enter through the Huntington Avenue entrance.
All participants will be required to sign waivers upon arrival to event. Yoga mats must be checked at coat check after class if you plan to explore the Museum.
