Come learn about and drink good sake with the MFA and the Koji Club! Taste three different styles of sake to find the glass (or bottle, or style, or category) you like best. Invite friends and join us for a 60-minute guided sake tasting with light bites. Afterward, explore art in the galleries—the Museum is open till 10 pm!
The Koji Club is a community of sake enthusiasts who love to sip sake together all over the world. It has won numerous accolades since opening its brick-and-mortar location in Boston, New England’s only Japanese sake bar, in 2022.

To order tickets by phone, call 1-800-440-6975 ($6 processing fee applies); to order in person, visit any MFA ticket desk.
Open to visitors 21+. Valid ID with proof of age required for entry.
Accepted forms of identification for entrance include:
- Massachusetts Drivers License
- Massachusetts Liquor ID
- Massachusetts ID issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles
- Drivers License from any US state
- Valid Passport (photocopies are not accepted)
- Federal Identification (e.g. Military ID)
Bag Checks
All bags are subject to inspection by Museum staff. Backpacks, large bags, all liquids including hand sanitizer and sunscreen, and outside food or drink are not permitted. Exceptions are made for medical or religious needs. All bags are strongly discouraged, and any bags larger than 11” x 15” must be checked in the Coat Room upon entry. Read our full bag check policy.
