Featuring approximately 175 works of art drawn from seven curatorial departments, the exhibition “Power of the People: Art and Democracy” highlights the ways in which art has played a role in shaping ideas about democracy throughout history.
Join Phoebe Segal, Mary Bryce Comstock Senior Curator of Greek and Roman Art, as she explores how the MFA’s encyclopedic collection allows us to bring together works from the origins of democracy in ancient Greece to contemporary protest graphics created to address the most pressing issues of their time.
