Occurs on Wednesdays
The MFA is fortunate to have one of the finest collections of Chinese paintings in the world. Some of our great treasures are currently on view, from the Song, Ming and Qing dynasties, including highlights from the recently donated Weng family collection of paintings, and the renowned Court Ladies Preparing Newly Woven Silk by the early 12th-century Song emperor Huizong. Discuss the significance of the great works, and gain insights on appreciating and looking at these layered creations.
