“Lucian Freud: the Self-Portraits,” the first exhibition in Boston to focus on the work of the British figurative painter, opens at the MFA on March 1, 2020. Join experts Sebastian Smee, a Pulitzer Prize–winning art critic who knew the painter well, and Joseph Leo Koerner, a professor of art history at Harvard, as they discuss Freud’s unique contribution to and conversation with the history of self-portraiture.
