Georgia O’Keeffe turned nature into art. With deep sensitivity to nuances of color, shape, depth, and line, she transformed the objects she collected and the spaces she loved into dynamic compositions that oscillate between realism and abstraction. This illustrated overview of O’Keeffe’s career reveals how a young woman from Wisconsin became one of the 20th century’s most famous women artists, learning, as she put it, “to paint as I wanted to and to say what I wanted to when I painted.”

Bag Checks
All bags are subject to inspection by Museum staff. Backpacks, large bags, all liquids including hand sanitizer and sunscreen, and outside food or drink are not permitted. Exceptions are made for medical or religious needs. All bags are strongly discouraged, and any bags larger than 11” x 15” must be checked in the Coat Room upon entry. Read our full bag check policy.
