Class Schedule

February 2, 2023—Impressionism

Learn how the Impressionists created paintings that looked believable while using brush strokes and colors to give viewers a sense of the scene. Then use round foam brushes to create a pointillist painting on canvas.

February 9, 2023—Realism

Discover a style of painting that is the complete opposite of Impressionism! Explore the Museum in search of paintings that depict scenes from everyday life then create your own realistic scene using colored pencils on paper.

February 16, 2023—Printmaking

Prints are often used to make multiple copies of an image, but sometimes prints are only one-of-a-kind! Take a look at examples from the Museum’s collections then create your own unique print using two different techniques.

March 2, 2023—Sculptures

What is a sculpture? Learn about some of the materials and techniques that artists from different cultures and time periods have used while taking a look at examples from the Museum’s collections. Then create your own sculpture with air-dry clay and mixed media embellishments.
