Directed by Bettina Ehrhardt (Germany, 2016, 86 min.). Digital. English, German and Italian with English subtitles.

Though conductor Zubin Mehta was born in India and has had a dazzling international career, he is most identified with Israel. Since he first joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 1969, he has developed strong ties with the State and has become the face of its cultural excellence. Produced on the eve of Mehta’s 80th birthday, Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds: The Conductor Zubin Mehtha honors the legendary maestro’s life story and efforts to bring the transformative power of music to the places and communities that need it most.

“A timely celebration of the maestro’s life and work.” —ArtsBoston Calendar
