DescriptionLarge plate decorated in underglaze blue. Center has two birds standing among flowers. The border is divided into eight large panels with alternating sunflowers and lozenge-shaped (artemesia?) leaves, in imitation of Chinese Wanli models.
Provenance2008, sold by Jose de Noronha (dealer), Lisbon, to the G. Ephis collection (private collector), France; 2012, sold by the G. Ephis collection to the MFA. (Accession Date: October 24, 2012).
