DescriptionA basket-form vase with large, arching handle, decorated with Art Nouveau-inspired floral decoration in gold, magenta, purple, green and blue, and with a photographically transferred portrait based on a 17th-century Dutch souce [Frans Hals, Portrait of Pieter Tjarck, Los Angeles County Museum of Art?] within a shaped reserve on the front.
Marks Painted in brown enamel on underside of base: factory mark (a small house) with "MADE IN/ HOLLAND". Painter's mark "A. L." painted above.
InscriptionsModel number incised below factory mark, on underside of base: "171/ W."
