College
College students from across Boston enjoy College Night 2006

The MFA welcomes students and faculty of Boston-area colleges and universities. College Night, a special event held once a year, invites students to become acquainted with each other and with the Museum. Students interested in exploring the Museum in more depth can apply for internships or the MFA Ambassador program. The University Membership program provides the widest access to the MFA, including free admission with student ID.

Groups
All faculty bringing classes to the Museum should book in advance. For more information or to make reservations online, visit Groups. Faculty are admitted free of charge with scheduled groups from our University Members.

Search under Collections to check the availability of any specific work. Contact Barbara Martin at bmartin@mfa.org or Benjamin Weiss at bweiss@mfa.org for current information on gallery closings. Please note that because of construction for the Building Project, some galleries are closed and individual works may be unavailable. View a list of department contacts

University Membership
University Membership grants full-time undergraduate students (unless otherwise noted) free admission to the Museum with a valid student ID. Learn more and see participating institutions

College Night
College Night—a free event featuring live music, food, and of course, art—is a great opportunity for undergrads to meet and mingle while exploring the Museum. This year's College Night was on Thursday, September 24, 2009, and drew in over 5,200 students. Thanks for making it such a smashing success!

MFA Ambassadors
The MFA Ambassador Program is a new opportunity open to work-study eligible students at participating universities. Ambassadors provide on-the-spot customer service to MFA visitors throughout the building. They help visitors plan and navigate the Museum and offer guidance and interpretation. Positions begin in the fall semester and require a year-long commitment. For more information, please contact Jessica Turner at jturner@mfa.org or 617-369-4058 or Nick DeVogel at ndevogel@mfa.org or 617-369-4312.

Internships
The Museum offers a number of unpaid internships. For more information and application instructions, see Internships.
